Face off: Macarons

Recently, a new macaron shop opened on Madison avenue between 70th and 71st streets, and has the whole neighborhood buzzing. Laduree bakery opened a couple of months ago, and since then has been expanding its French branches to America. It has tasty macarons in every possible flavor, and they all look so delicious. However, they are not cheap. Each cookie costs $3.

Now here’s the face off, how will they compare to old-time shop, macaron cafe, with 2 NYC locations already! Macaron Cafe, is a more funky take on the classic french cookie. They have seasonal flavors (like Chestnut, Pumpkin, and Gingerbread) and cost around 2.50$ each. So how do they compare? Go try them out for yourselves and you can decide.
