I have always been such a big fan of the art of Richard Serra. His sculptures are enormous and completely mind boggling. They force you to question how sculptures so big could fit into a room so small. How does Serra mold the large blocks of steel & bronze? Why do the sculptures balance and are they attached to the ground? These are the questions that only Mr. Serra can answer. His work takes over huge gallery spaces, and recently has been moved into the famous Gagosian Gallery. The show, Richard Serra: New Sculpture, takes over both Gagosian spaces in Chelsea. Unfortunately, part of the show closed last week, but there is still some of Serra’s work in the gallery on West 24th Street. The show closes March 15th! Go Go Go!!
